IERT Introduction and short history
In the year 1955, A school of Civil Engineering was established by “Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology” Society and it was founded by Late Shanker Saran (Retired Judge of Allahabad High court) and Late Vishwamitra (An Advocate by profession) were respectively the president and secretary of the society. After it started it was getting a good number of students in the two-year Diploma in Civil Engineering Course by the Board of Engineering College.
The campus of IERT Allahabad spreads over 26.5 acres of land and totally pollution free area of Allahabad. You can find river Ganga at a walking distance of less than 1 km from the campus.
The Institute was the first polytechnic in India to be granted autonomy. IERT is now wholly in charge of its syllabus, admission procedure as well as diplomas offered since 2001.

IERT Allahabad Admission process-
The Application form distribution is started from 24th of April 2017, You can Collect the Form from the Fees counter at IERT campus by paying Rs 1200. You can collect the form any time between 10 am to 4 pm on working days only. The last date to submit the form is 29th May 2017. In case if you are sending the application form via India post then you need to send a Bank Draft of Rs 1250 favoring “ Director IERT Allahabad ” along with the form. The date of entrance exam is 22nd of June 2017.
IERT Admission form 2017-18
The form will be available at the official IERT campus. You can collect the form from the college premises by paying the form value which was Rs 1200 last year. It is expected to be available from the last week of April or 1st week of May. You will have approx 25 days from the start date to submit the form (The accurate date will be updated after the official declaration)
Entrance Exam Admit Card-
After the submission of the application form, the next step is to collect the Admit card. The Admit card contains the important details related to your course and entrance exam like – Your full name, Entrance exam date, Center address, Timing etc. Please bring the admit card with you when going to appear in the entrance exam.

IERT Allahabad Entrance Exam syllabus-
Mostly the questions which are asked in the entrance exam belong to the subjects which you studied in your 12th Science stream. Good command on Maths, Physics, and Chemistry will help you clear this exam for sure. The detailed entrance exam syllabus will be updated soon after the official announcement.
